i am reading a book about spike lee and his life and how he became the person that he is in the first chapter it talks about him coming from a family where both of his parents went to college and they were educated that was very rare at this time period. also it talk about him having a lot a siblings.

at the end of chapter 2 piri dad come home from work and he is really cold. and before dinner he played a game with the kids called "major bones amatuer hour. and also pearl harbor had just happend so therefore it created a job for piri poppa.

in chapter 2 piri is talking about how hard it is growing up in harlam and he is also talking about how poor they are and that they are so poor that they have to use the stove to heat there house up. and he also have a lot of brothers and sisters that also live with him so its alot of kids in the house.and his dad ends up losing his night sift job.

in the first chapter of the book he talks about his family and everything that's going on in his life he is poor and his dad works alot and when his dad comes home he is kinda angry all the time. he also talks about running away from home and when he finally returned home his dad gave him a spanking.
